Pinch celebrate 15 years of success
PINCH have become synonymous for their celebration of form - furniture which is both contemporary and yet classic at the same time. Each piece from this London-based design house is an achievement of quality, taste and timeless style. Founded in 2004 by Russell Pinch and Oona Bannon, the design duo have a dedication to detail, craft and process. They never compromise on the materials. Guess what? it shows.
To celebrate 15 years of business PINCH have not only woven updates and additions into their current furniture offering, but they have also opened up a second store on London’s ever-elegant Ebury Street.
‘We believe in poetic design and making beautiful things.’
Extending their bedroom collection PINCH have launched the all-new Christo Bed. With it’s distinctive ‘curved peak’ headboard it’s hard to miss. Finished is handcrafted solid wood, it has a dynamic presence and is a natural addition to the existing PINCH range.
‘The manner in which the pieces are produced is as important as the designs themselves.’
The Brody Sofa is another new addition to the PINCH range. It offers a two seater version to the existing Brody Armchair, and comes finished in a house leather with sprung seating and high-back for neck support. The leather has been chosen specifically so that ‘it will age according to its environment, creating a beautiful patina over time’.
And my personal favourite? The Moreau Armchair. The existing Moreau bed and sofa designs are joined by this ‘generous, languid and sculptural’ chair. The curvacious arms and back profile have an elegance that only Pinch would be able to dream up. Its proportions are spot on.
