Radar Interior at BHV Le Marais, Paris
Stop press. We have all been living in our own little ‘bubbles’ for long enough now that it’s nice to get a bolt of news from elsewhere in the world, and on that note, let’s hone in for a second on the wonderful city of Paris - and closer in again on what’s possibly considered the jewel in Paris’s stylish shopping crown - BHV department store.
‘RADAR INTERIOR , one of Italy’s finest lighting design brands, showcases eye-catching new designs under the roof of BHV Paris’.
BHV has a wonderful effect on me - I go weak at the knees when I think of the epic shopping space that dominates the Le Marais shopping district to the East of Paris, and I need to take a lie down when my mind starts racing round all the various ‘designer’ concession stands and floor spaces which are spread out over the massive building. To put it briefly, it’s a shoppers paradise.
The latest news comes in the form of an exciting collaboration with the Italian Agency of Foreign Trade. BHV have hand-picked “the most interesting” Italian brands in the fields of craftsmanship, design, beauty, fashion and food - offering these selected brands the opportunity to showcase their products and produce under the roof of Paris’s bougeoir BHV.
”Against the backdrop of a red wall, RADAR INTERIOR, with its double Italian and French soul, is staging some of its most iconic lamps focusing the audience’s attention on its extreme skill in creating truly sophisticated objects by working a variety of materials with highly elaborate methods.” - RADAR INTERIOR.
Products on show include the Haussmann ceiling lamp and the new Lafayette brass lamp, too. The display is heavily influenced by the classic colours of a traditional Christmas: red, silver, gold.
