WC2E Page 8 Hotel
Page Hotels has launched its very first lifestyle hotel in the UK. Pag8 is housed across 5 floors on St Martin’s Place. There 138 guest rooms. There’s also a sophisticated coffeehouse, serving home roasted artisanal coffee, and a rooftop restaurant with views across the London skyline.
The ethos behind the brand is to ‘disrupt the upmarket hotel scene’ by offering luxury lifestyle accommodation, catering to those who enjoy discovering new and exciting places, but with affordable luxury rates.
Located at the south end of St. Martin’s Place, meters away from Trafalgar Square and The National Gallery, Page8’s location lends itself to the hotel group’s celebration of the urban explorer and those who enjoy learning about the city they are in, and what makes it tick.
Founder Philip Chan is driven by his love of beautiful design and exploring new places. Together with being the founder of Page Hotels, Philip is also a photographer. Philip's ethos for Page Hotels is to offer his guests a community, somewhere to learn from others and use the hotel as a base from which to explore London, and not the usual sights and attractions, but hidden gems, unknown lunch spots, great photo spots, museums, art galleries etc.
In a bid to offer guests the ‘undiscovered London’ experience, Philip and his team have curated Page Common, to help guide guests through London. Page Common, part of the Page Hotels brand, is a dynamic new space aimed at locals and tourists alike looking for more than just a coffee house. Combining an artisanal coffeehouse and a select bar, Page Common is a meeting space for guests to share experiences and information.
The space is designed to redefine the traditional hotel lobby concept; set to encourage conversations between people, be it sharing coffee experiences with the baristas, learning about the surroundings from the locals, or sharing exciting travel stories with the hotel guests. Guests can linger for hours, flipping through indie glossies and curated lifestyle books, in hopes of sparking inspiration for the ‘urban explorers’ hidden within everyone who walks through the door.
Prices start from £220 for a double room on a room only basis.
